It wasn’t until now, that I thought about how cool it would be if Reed Sheppard could win a national title at UK.  That would be an awesome story.

Well coach Cal is still at UK, and it sure didn’t stop Sheppard from coming. So I guess none of this was true lol.

In this day and age, none of this matters.   If he's really, REALLY good, he's at KY for 1 year.  If he's not, he may start at Kentucky, but where may he finish.   Kids today transfer because the wind direction changes.

NIL probably helps with this decision.  Family can make a nice amount of money together in this state.  Might not be the case elsewhere.

This kid would be fine anywhere with NIL, is the type kid that everyone will love, and parents are the same.

With the transfer portal the way it is, why wouldn't the kid give UK a shot.  He comes in and proves he's a player its all good.  If he struggles at that level, go to a school he can compete at...

I'm sure he could "do fine" anywhere.

But he could do way better than fine capitalizing on his and his father's name together. Id imagine many local companies in KY will pay a lot more for a commercial and what not for Jeff and Reed together than random companies at other schools outside of the state of KY.

Not really sure how there is even an argument there.
