Absolutely amazing.That sums up what’s happening in Ft Thomas on the Varsity level. 

Sounds like he will fit in nicely in Park Hills. Good for him.

Well when he was playing for the freshman team at Highlands, they couldn’t beat Covcath. Then leaves to join Covcath, and the freshman team ends up getting better after he left. So I don’t think Highlands did anything wrong in that regard. 
 

With that said this isn’t about them. Great win for LexCath. Didn’t they basically have Covcath beat last year, and allowed Covcath to come back at the end to beat them? They definitely have given Covcath the toughest time the last two years.

Hate to nitpick, but clock management at the end of the game could have been better for the Colonels. Congrats to the Knights, they played hard and deserved the win.

Just figured they’d run into a good team and struggle.   They’ve been streaky all year (CCH). The number of QB draws to me is endemic of the passing struggles.  LexCath secondary played great and had the team speed to lock down CCH.  
Will Geiseler and now the corner transfer from Cooper, and the transfer from Ohio (both now allowed to play) make a difference?

I am really surprised by this one probably more so than last years game.

Cov Cath did a good job getting him the ball out in space. He has good speed and the schemes helped him use it. 

If you have not seen the 2-point conversion at the end on Prep-spin its worth looking at.  The pass had to be arced over a CovCath player (#2) and still drop in and allow the catch in bounds. 

 

 

Good wake up call for CCH as they have been cruising. Down 21-7 in the 4th, and they finally turned it on with 3 straight TD’s.  Couldn’t protect the lead though-practice should be fun this week. Giesler is the real deal as Nally went down early. Really enjoyed watching LexCath play and will be rooting for them in the playoffs.

Zion Mason is expected to play next week—a burner on the outside.....fastest kid on the team. Schmidt will not be playing for the Colonels.
