I agree with you on that. I believe a lot of schools played it safe and used red county as cover.

Hearing that due to a Covid outbreak that Pulaski may have to drop out.

Paris and Bourbon County are not playing in the playoffs and it's because of Covid ... both teams are in quarantine until the 17th. So even those kids that play on their basketball teams, which will be many, can't come out until after the 17th. 

Scott is out. They cancelled their season late last week or early this week.

Should take the top two from each district and play across regions and try to get a State Tourney played in three rounds before they screw around and lose any chance they have.

Most of the teams not playing in the playoffs (opted out) were not going to be much of a factor. I don’t think it’s as dire of a situation as people are making it out to be. Playoffs will be fun. 

66 games cancelled tonight because of covid. What happens when those are 2nd or 3rd round games? I'm not talking about those opting out.  I'm talking about good teams having to forfeit because of covid.  Teams that had a chance to make a run.

Most of those games were cancelled due to teams playing it safe before playoffs. Teams didn’t want to risk getting shut down with the contact tracing if something were to happen in a meaningless regular season week.

They would be out. Championship will be two last teams standing. I would say at third round if player gets sick then they won’t be getting tested. Nobody wants to be the guy that knocks his team out of playoffs.

With the new decision to push back playoffs, why not just have the first two seeds play the first round of playoffs then we still finish on the original championship weekend?

Playoffs delayed a week.  Business as usual I guess.......

Greenup County now intends to play Round 1 of the playoffs against Ashland if Greenup County is Below Red on the Covid Map Next Thursday per Zack Moore.
