July 10, 20206 yr I have no idea. My school had driver’s ed. The class lasted for 1 quarter, and you drove in various situations for a total of 8 hours. If you passed the class, you could go down to the DMV and trade your certificate for your license on or after your birthday. So since the car was the school’s, I have no recollection of the vehicle at all.

July 11, 20206 yr 1995 Ford Ranger, navy blue. It belonged to my dad and eventually my twin sister. I had a brown 1986 S-10 with no power steering and bad brakes. I didn’t think it was a good choice for the test!
July 11, 20206 yr I guess, technically I've taken two. First was a in a 96 Honda Civic. Second I'm not sure, but if I had to ball park it was a 98 Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor.
July 12, 20206 yr Showed up first time in a borrowed 1969 Super Beetle and the state trooper failed the car before I could do anything because he said something was missing from the tailpipe (I just think he didn't want me to take it in such a small car). About a week later I showed up in a 1970 Mercury Montego and passed with flying colors.

July 13, 20206 yr I was in my Mom's 1976 Mercury Comet, 2dr sedan. That was the first year for pollution controls and it ran like a 70 yr-old former cross country runner with emphysema. My poor older sister had to use my parents Pontiac Station Wagon. She growled the whole duration of driver's ed but my Mom said that when it came time for parallel parking on her driver's test she whipped that ole station wagon into place with no problem. Here's one similar to the one we owned, but ours was a tannish/greenish/cream colored base.
