Reds Offseason Thread

Just don't see it happening.

Why? They by far have the best rotation in the division and the best power hitter, and several more really good bats.

I agree they look pretty good on paper. Votto will have to bounce back, don't really see that happening and they have too many unproved pieces. Yes, ownership is trying.

No reason why the Reds shouldn’t win the division.

Would be amazing for me if they did but I feel like I am from Missouri...show me!

Suarez had 49 HR’s.

Ahhh. My apologies. For some reason I was thinking you were being facetious and referring to Aguino.

We had our annual Delware North/Reds rehire meeting on Saturday. They are always a little fluffy about the upcoming season, but there was definitely a little bit more of a buzz.

Nate Jones, Pendleton Co and NKU grad, is coming home by signing a minor league contract with the Reds yesterday with an invitation to Spring Training. Jones has had health troubles throughout his career, but if he stays healthy he would be a huge asset to the Reds bullpen. He is an 8 year veteran, whose probably best season was in 2016 where he pitched 70 innings out of the pen and was 5-3 with 3 saves and a 2.29 ERA, while striking out 80.

Hopefully we make a move or two and be a playoff contender in 2020. Be nice if some of the young pitching keeps taking more steps forward.

From the opening post. Looks like half of this came true. Be awesome if the other half wound up being true as well!

As long as the Reds don't get caught stealing signs, maybe we will be OK (like the A&T commercials).

There were some rumors for a little while that the Reds were going to try and land Ozuna. He went to the Braves for 1yr for $18 Million.

MJ, you’re gonna be selling a lot of beer this year, the Reds are going for it! Castellanos, 4 years at $16 mill.

Heck ya JA! I'm so pumped right now.

Wanted to get to Lawrenceburg and put a bet on the O/U, which was at 82.5 games but I think that's about to go up a little more!

The overcrowded outfield just got a little more crowded. This signing makes me think the Reds are still not sure which Aquino they'll have, since Castellanos also hits right handed.

The Reds still have options with Aquino, Winker and Senzel, but are out of them with Ervin, Jankowski and Schebler (yes, he's still on the 40 man roster).

Just saw this on Twitter:

Reds are considering trading Nick Senzel. Have heard his name is out there on market.
