Final tough loss for the Cats just did not do anything down the stretch you should do to win the game.

Their goes Kentucky's shot at a 1 seed.

Kentucky's two turnovers and the failure to block out Williams properly on the possession that ultimately put UT up are where the Cats made mistakes to help Tennessee. But Tennessee simply took the game. With 2:58 left the Vols trailed by 8, and then they scored every time they had the ball afterwards. You have to give it to them there.

I now hope that they leave Gonzaga as a #1 seed in the West and make the Cats the #2 seed in the west. However what will probably what will happen is will be a #2 in the south with Duke or the #2 in the Midwest with Carolina.

Kentucky outplayed Tennessee for huge, HUGE stretches of the game. The Vols regressed hard in the second half in shooting, which was inevitable. But they hit three triples down the stretch when they absolutely had to have it. They had their best three point shooting performance in two months, and it came at the right time for them.

 

I think this clinched the 1 seed for Tennessee. I consider the finals irrelevant, as the NCAA often seems to. Kentucky can now hope that they get to be the 2 seed in the South, but their #1 hope at this point should be avoiding the heck out of Duke.

The turnovers were the cause of the loss, but that game became unwatchable when the officials decided they needed to make their presence known. Swallow your whistles in big time basketball games.

Very true were outscored 18-6 in the last 2:58 and gave up I know of 11 second chance points.

Tennessee isn’t getting a 1 seed. It will be the 3 ACC schools and either Gonzaga or Sparty IMO.

Tennessee won’t do much in the NCAA tournament as long as they don’t get SEC officials to work their games. Grant Williams is worth 15 points a game just from fouls that he commits that don’t get called and from foul shots he gets to take when he flops or throws his hands up to get the calls.

Herro didn’t have a game he’ll want to remember. Besides his walking turnover, he couldn’t get going offensively, which is a credit to UT’s defense.
