Tough as Nails
It was interesting on PTI they were talking about OJ Mayo. They said that OJ said he wanted to go to a school where he could elevate the level of play. But how can he if he is there for only a year? Or maybe he wanted to go to a school that wasn't a recruiting juggernaut so he could be the star player without having to compete. Think if he went to UNC or Duke. He might play as a freshman, but not like he would at a school like USC.
BogeyMan
He'll make more one and done than most will in a lifetime. I spoke with him after a couple of high school games and coached against him in Middle School games (when he dominated as a sixth grader). He was a gentleman on the court and after the games. I congratulate him and wish him the best.
Qryche11
Ovinton J'Anthony "O.J." Mayo, was born November 5, 1987 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2510229 so he just turned 19... that is nice. I had to play my Sr. yr at 17 yrs old.....a couple of years in maturity would have been nice. He is a man among children anyway... he could play in the NBA tomorrow. YAKOFNORWEGIA
I graduated at 17 wait a minute that was grade school never mind. On another note, there are more and more kids in a grade that will cause them to graduate high school at 19. There are a lot of schools of thought on this. I think Hansboro at UNC was a 19 or 20 yr old freshman.
