Some of the things im reading is a complete joke.

 

It's the first game of the season, Some people never learn.

I am a UK fan and have been all my life!!!! I see allot of potential with this team and will watch every game possible.

 

What is it with some of the other UK fans that you think if the CATS don't beat everyone by 50 points that the season is over???? Get real, it is called parity!!!

 

Yes, last year was not that great, but look at some of the talent that left early.

 

Teams like Miami U hardly ever have kids that declare early for the draft, therefore you have seasoned veterans playing underclassmen.

Stevenson played good again. Miami is a tough opener for anybody you will not see 40-50 point wins like it used to be around the country somebody said it earlier it is called parity. Crawford took some bad shots but all in all he played good. Morris had 12 and 10 and didnt play much at all silly foul after silly foul the one call the guy fell down and Morris got the foul. Bradley took some crazy shots. They are still missing some wide open shots that they have to knock down. IMO Perry is trying to hard and is putting alot of pressure on himself.

If we can get 12-10 From Morris every night, this team can go somewhere.

 

If Monty St Clair is guarding him nightly....

I know it's only one game but I found myself dozing off watching the UK offense.

 

It looks like "Tubby ball" is going to consist of passing around the perimeter and someone chucking up a three every trip down court.

 

If Crawford isn't hitting like he was last night then it could be a long season.

1.)Wooo Blew!!! He is a big liability on "D"

 

2.)It seemed like everyone had blinders on, no execution of offense or crisp passing!

 

3.)It's the 1st game of the year and the freshman looked fairly good!

 

4.)I saw ESPN and Fox both were saying this is the lowest KY has been ranked to start a season since like 1995. They attributed it to recruiting or lack thereof and team chemistry...not talking to highly of the Tubster!

I never invest much into this logic and making the Final Four as the "end all, be all" kind of thing. In a one and done deal, anything can happen... ask George Mason, a team that early last season was not Final Four material and probably never was all of last season.

 

I should have rephrased "Final Four material". What I mean is that UK is going to go through some growing pains this year and fans shouldn't expect too much, too early.

It's the very first game and and people expect a blow out...

....I'll agree and I truly believe some of you posters, along with "alleged fans" in general, watch UK to criticize, nit-pick their performance more than the enjoyment of the game.

 

It was the first regular game....enough said. Did either team play the way they would like, No and that often is a result of each teams defense, inconsistent shooting and limited offensive rebounding. This was not a fastbreak style game and UK WILL NOT blow out their opponents, every game, every year nor win the National Championship, but this was again, the first regular game.

 

Playing time and getting the younger players into the system, will be an adjustment and I like the potential of several of them. A lot will be expected of Bradley, Morris, Crawford and Perry, which takes time.

 

Don't panic, UK will be alright but don't start all this negative Coach Smith, team complaining after the first regular game....

If your a UofL fan then all is ok. You guys can sugar coat it all you want but this program is declining before your eyes.

 

No, if I were a UofL fan, I would be more upset about not making the tournament the previous year than I would about a season opening win.

 

That's not a shot at UofL, just a short lesson in "perspective".

Every time i see Bradley i laugh at how much he looks like Eddie Murphy i can just hear him giving that goofy Murphy laugh during a time out and Tubby saying play some defense BUDDY LOVE.

If we can get 12-10 From Morris every night, this team can go somewhere.

Thing is, Morris probably only touched the ball 7 or 8 times the entire night in the post. Plagued by foul trouble and people not looking down low for him. Does anyone know his minutes? Did he even play 20 on the night?
