November 28, 20187 yr The committee seems to have made it clear Ohio State is going to need a massive effort over Northwestern Saturday to get in if Oklahoma takes care of business. I still say Georgia, win or lose, should be the #4 team but they don’t have a prayer without a win over Bama.

I still say Georgia, win or lose, should be the #4 team but they don’t have a prayer without a win over Bama. 100%, by moving NW down on a week that they won by resting starters, you are completely correct. OSU has to do twice as much as the 14 point Vegas spread to NW to get in.

Both games with Wimbush at QB, a stat you seem to want to avoid. Ball State and Vandy didn't put up 51 points on ND now did they? And you want to talk about single digit wins? :lol2: :lol2: I'm not the one who's team is hanging on a wing and a prayer of making the playoff because of how terribly inconsistent they are. ND is undefeated, seems pretty consistent to me. Oh, and ND seems to be a lock for a playoff spot and well earned by them at that. 16 points in a bowl game is an embarrassment to you? Where does that leave you seeing your team lose by 29 to a Purdue team that finished 6-6?

That’s a marketing tip from Uncle John to all of the young entrepreneurs on here. We’re gonna be 10-15 pages into this debate only for whoever gets the 4th seed to lose to Alabama lol. November 28, 20187 yr As for the question / thread subject …. it's now really hard to say. OSU lost to an imo average at best Purdue team. OU lost to a good Texas team. OSU has shown a great offense along with an average defense. The Buckeyes have again this season, fallen into a "play down" / "just play as hard as we to for a win" to weaker competition in some games. Last week vs. Michigan, the Bucks showed how good they are and just how dominate they can be. Everyone knows what talent that OSU has, it's as good as anyone and better than most. Oklahoma imo has shown exactly who they are …. a not good, but great offense than can light up the scoreboard on anyone. OU's down fall is a defense that can't stop anyone. In their last four games, OU has given up an avg. of 47 points per game. The Sooners offense has to score like a video game to win . This coming weekend will be the deciding factor between the two. OU gets the chance to avenge their one loss vs. Texas. Oklahoma has shown consistency ….. A great offense with a terrible defense. Ohio State has been good but inconsistent in how they play. Everyone knows how good, how much talent on both sides of the ball that OSU has but they haven't shown it all in a complete game until last Sat. vs. that team up North. I personally believe that OSU is the better team. Having said that, I don't argue with this week's cfb playoff rankings that has 5. OU ahead of 6. OSU. The Sooners have the chance to avenge their only loss (Texas) in the Big12 championship game. OSU imo has to blow Northwestern off the field in their conference title game. A same type of showing as this past Saturday..
November 28, 20187 yr Buckeye fans as well as the Sooners need to hope that Bama beats UGA this Sat., if not then Bama will still imo be in the playoff and both OU and OSU will be out. The same may be true with Clemson, should they lose on Sat. then the cfp panel may keep Clemson in the top four. Not as likely as them keeping Bama in should they lose but imo could happen.

I was pointing out that ND fans do the same things. You're exactly right about not having much to be arrogant about in the past, but it didn't stop any talk about the Irish IMO. All fan bases are loyal to a fault. UK, UL, Michigan, ND, OSU. You're right that we hear a lot less about ND on this board, but bear in mind South Bend is a little over 4 hours from NKY and Columbus is just over 1.5 hours. Fan base chatter is all relative to location. I bet we would hear a lot more chatter about Minnesota sports the further you head north.

As a general statement with fandom and dispelling "my team is hated the most" on BGP, as far as dislike goes, easily there are more people that dislike UK and UL (for obvious geographical reasons), and Notre Dame (because of the national appeal and everyone having an opinion). tOSU comes in a distant next because there are some loyal fans that like to mix it up on here and the team normally being in the mix. Still battling for that #4 spot
