Read my post again. I said that "I thought" that OSU is the better team. (meaning when OSU plays like they did vs. Mich.). Then, right after that I said that I understood why they ranked OK. ahead of OSU. Now if that's arrogant or attacking anyone, including you then I can't help you, lol.

 

I am speaking for myself, the other OSU fans on here like @John Anthony do a very good job of speaking for themselves. For sure. I heard Herbstreit saying Georgia should move UP to number 3 and almost threw up. You can’t put a 2 loss team in that lost in conf championship over a team that has one loss and won their conf championship. It devalues Ws. Georgia lost, there is nothing won in a loss. They would be putting them in because of feelings. They can’t just guess a conference is that much better and deserves two teams. The second team is getting a second chance redo And two teams with better records and championships don’t get one chance. Ws and conf championships should have meaning on who the “best” team is. Oklahoma will probably get the last spot. OU avenged their only loss by beating Texas in the Big12 title game. OSU won by 3 td's but struggled at times doing so. Both teams had wins over ranked teams. As a fan, I naturally would love to see OSU in but imo it will be Oklahoma and if that's the case, I would have no argument.

I will make it simple, I agree with Herbstreit.

How do you know that Oklahoma wouldn’t beat Georgia? Because that what it is. Oklahoma beat everybody they played. Georgia lost two games. I can’t understand putting Georgia in for one second. Big boy Conference championships should be basically considered an extension of the playoffs. Otherwise you’re giving the SEC special treatment. Last year was kind of a freak incident of a one loss team being outside of conf championship. Why do the conference championships? You might as well just have it be an all SEC playoff.

I believe Georgia is better than both Oklahoma and Ohio State, but what you said here explains why it has to be Oklahoma.

My earlier post on Oklahoma was more who I thought they would put in the 4th spot. I absolutely agree with others on here in saying that UGA should be in. At either 3 or 4. That, if you want the 4 best teams is who should be in the playoff.

This is my take.

1) Alabama

2) Clemson

3) Notre Dame

4) Oklahoma

 

 

Oklahoma and Ohio State are nearly mirror images. I base this on two-three games for each. Their losses were Oklahoma to Texas and Ohio State to Purdue. Texas is better than Purdue, Thye both had several games that were really close with Ohio State winning one in overtime against an average Maryland team. Oklahoma had close games at Oklahoma State and WVU. Oklahoma State is Maryland-like. West Virginia is better than Maryland. Ohio State's win aginst Michigan was impressive, however.

 

If these teams played it would be a scorefest. On a neutral field it would be close, but I think Oklahoma would get one more stop. Thus seed #4

 

Georgia may be better than both, but you gotta win the conference championship, simple as that.

 

I thought before last night that Alabama was invincible and Tua was at another level. Neither, not so much last night. Alabama's defense is not at their standard and if they have a few turnovers, like last night, they can be had by the other three. I still think the Tide win it comfortably, though.
