These players in the LSU-Texas A&M game are beyond exhausted. Both teams running on fumes. Going to 7th OT tied 66-66.

I think going for two vs extra points is a bit different. One was a conscious and arguably ignorant decision by Harbaugh the other was a mistake by a player. Apples to Oranges.

I mean Oklahoma gave up 40 to Kansas brother. If you want to make it a 3 team playoff, cool, but someone has to take that 4th spot. I mean seriously have you ever watched Oklahoma play? I’m not going to tell you Ohio State should be in over Bama, but to say it’s an easy decision after seeing Ohio State put up 62 on the team that the committee labeled the best defense in the country is pretty crazy. Ohio State is who they are and what they are is basically identical to Oklahoma.

That was a very weak "complete game" on the defensive side of things no matter how you slice it. Todays game against Michigan IMO, did nothing but show how overrated Michigan was. No one is arguing that Oklahoma has a better defense.

Umm I don’t know what obscure media you’re listening to but that’s definitely not what I’m hearing or seeing anywhere. I do think it’s funny how everyone tries to discredit Ohio States opponents but Oklahoma doesn’t get the same treatment. It’s whatever. It’s a good thing none of us on BGP vote for the playoff.

Hell, Oklahoma's defense won't even argue for themselves. They know their offense is what they rely on, but they own it.

Except Oklahoma is ranked several spots ahead of Ohio State. Ohio State's (potential) wins over Michigan and Northwestern should not be enough to vault them over Oklahoma and their (potential) wins over WVU and Texas. The Michigan win is better than the West Virginia win but the Texas win would be better than the Northwestern win. There's not enough difference in the wins to jump that many spots.

I'm trying to read all these posts and I can't. OSU tonight was the team most of us were waiting to see. The problem is Oklahoma plays Texas and OSU plays Northwestern. There is no way OSU can jump Oklahoma if they both win. I think Bama is the best team, but if Georgia beats them they should be out.

Is OSU really proud of 'holding' Michigan to 'only' 39 points.

 

39 is probably more than average for Michigan this year. Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan State held them to less. We know Notre Dame obviously held them to less.

 

I get the knock on the Oklahoma defense. But doesn't that same - or at least similar - knock apply to OSU?

 

If OU beats Texas its clear what the decision should be. An avenged loss to a well-ranked opponent should trump a bad loss to an un-ranked opponent.
