I was surprised at the number of Pit Bull owners at this link. But they are still statistically far more of a dangerous dog than other breeds - combined. December 27, 20178 yr Statistically, pitbulls vastly more dangerous than any other breed. The news is not filtering other breeds or picking on pit bulls. They ARE vastly dangerious compared to even their closest 'competitor' in the aggression stats. In the link above the pit bulls make up around 6-7% of the registered dogs. Yet, they are involved 60% of ALL fatal attacks. Here is 2014 isolated as a single view of what RTS posted. 2

December 27, 20178 yr Serioulsy? He's got a pretty good point IMO. There's roughly 30 people a year in America killed by dogs. There were roughly 17K people murdered in America last year.
December 27, 20178 yr I think the thing about Pit Bulls, as with Chows, is they are still unpredictable no matter how much training or handling they get. It’s simply in their breeding. They may be as gentle and playful for their entire life with kids and adults and then suddenly one day attack someone without provocation. I wouldn’t own one under any circumstances. I’ll stick with my Bichon Frise.
