Don’t let the door hit ya... you know the rest.

Thank you Marvin. That is the right decision no matter how it was arrived at, and I don't really care how the decision was made. Thank you for the way you handled this. And thank you for bringing success and high expectations back to the Bengals organization.

Exactly!

Thanks Marvin.

Well said.

Yes Cincinnati, there is a Santa Claus.

According to Bengals.com Lewis is not leaving:

MINNEAPOLIS _ Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis shooed away a reporter before Sunday’s game when he was approached about the ESPN report saying he’s leaving the club after 15 seasons.

“It’s nothing. Nothing to it,” said Lewis as he sat with offensive linemen Clint Boling and Eric Winston on the Bengals bench in U.S. Bank Stadium.

Lewis on report: Nothing

Another episode in "ALLLLL MY BENGALLLLLLLS". This was probably the work of Synonymous Bengal!

From ESPN:

Marvin Lewis' Playoff Pain

Marvin Lewis hasn't been able to help the Bengals advance in the postseason. Cincinnati hasn't won a playoff game since the 1990 season, the longest active drought in the NFL.

Worst postseason coaching records (min. 5 games)

COACH RECORD

Marvin Lewis 0-7

Jim Mora 0-6

Sid Gillman 1-5

Jack Pardee 1-5

Wade Phillips 1-5

-- Elias Sports Bureau

As stated multiple times when people said the Bengals wouldn't let him him go. Marvin has just looked done himself. Definitely in best interest for both to part ways.

It was also reported that Lewis was going to retire after last season. So hopefully this early report doesn't make him or the team change their minds on parting ways.

Just a few years to late. He did good for the Bengals but its been time to move on for a couple of years.

Curious what direction the franchise goes with this hire. Hoping its fresh blood.
