Anyone know where this crew was from?

 

I don't know, but I've watched 18 of Boyle and Danville's state title games, and one of Lincoln county way back when, and this was definitely the worst officiated title game I've ever attended.

Kroger field is a great venue for the championship games. Both teams brought big crowds and set a new record for the 3A championship game. Over 11,200 strong for both teams. Talked with some great Corbin fans in the green lot before the game and I am sure they are very proud of the Redhounds accomplishments.

Boyle defense did what they have done all year, stop the run. Hatter, Paycheck, Kelly & Hellyer controlled the line of scrimmage and kept Sizmore from scrambling most of the night.

The Crawford penalty was just horrendous! :no:

I really loved the venue of this game absolutely better than Western and Louisville seating and view was great, getting in and out of parking was great traffic wasn't a problem I hope the Championship games stay at UK.

I thought the first was questionable, and the second unbelievablely bad.

So Crawford has to miss two games at the start of next season, since he was ejected in 4th Q?

Correct me if I am wrong but Boyle did not have a player ejected the entire regular season. Then in the playoffs Hatter, #87 is mistakenly identified for #78 of Lexington Catholic (don't have a clue how the official screwed that up so bad) and ejected for a punch the Knights player threw. Then last night Crawford was tossed for a Luke warm first down call. I wonder what the real agenda was?

That was ridiculous to eject someone for celebrating/taunting as well. There just wasn't much to it.

Join the discussion there. Player ejections in the playoffs and how they are handled by officials and the KHSAA need to be reviewed.

If you want to talk about getting hosed, you have to first go to the interference call that led to Corbin's first TD. Walker made a great defensive play which was in no way interference and gave Corbin a first down deep in Rebel territory. There were questionable calls both ways, but in the end they probably balanced out. Boyle just dominated a good Corbin team and it could have been 47-21 if Boyle had wanted to push that last drive in, but took a knee instead.

 

I didn't get a good look at that first one, but if it was bad, they made up for it with 2 no calls on pass interference that may have led to two more Corbin TD's. Like I said earlier though, the better team won.

Thank you. We are so happy for big Will. He has done a great job of staying in the moment and never looking beyond today. What lies ahead is so exciting, but for now we are just elated to be State Champions!!
