What is your personal best? I did that trip in 12 hours before. Independence to West Palm Beach or back usually takes me 15 to 16 hours just a little over 1000 miles.
August 6, 20179 yr My personal best was driving out to Denver from Northern Kentucky, which is right around 1200 miles. It took us somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 hours, if I remember correctly.
August 6, 20179 yr Author I did that trip in 12 hours before. Independence to West Palm Beach or back usually takes me 15 to 16 hours just a little over 1000 miles. I had my 5 year old, 77 yr old mom and her dog plus terrible Atlanta traffic.

August 6, 20179 yr I had my 5 year old, 77 yr old mom and her dog plus terrible Atlanta traffic. Going through Atlanta sucks. Next time go up 95 through South Carolina and North Carolina its a better drive less traffic and it is nice looking at the Mountains.

August 6, 20179 yr Somerest to Daytona a few times for youth football, right at 800 miles and 12 hours, counting a few stops along the way.
August 6, 20179 yr Covington to Naples Florida last summer, just a little over 1050 miles. I do a 600 mile trip to Dover, DE once or twice a year. I've done that one by myself quite a few times. Now that Southwest is at CVG and flying to Baltimore for around $100, I won't be making that drive many more times.
August 6, 20179 yr Going through Atlanta sucks. Next time go up 95 through South Carolina and North Carolina its a better drive less traffic and it is nice looking at the Mountains. I drive to Jacksonville at least twice a year to visit family and usually do it in one day, around 770 miles. I've driven both I-75 through Georgia and I-95. The I-95 route is about 20 miles longer then I-75 so for all intents and purposes it's no difference but for some reason I'd rather go I-75. Not sure why.
August 6, 20179 yr Solo driving, I do the the Florence to Milwaukee drive a couple times a year. That's about 400 miles. Shared driving, we do the Florence-Destin trip about once a year. "Forensic Files" makes the miles fly.
August 6, 20179 yr Personally, I drove straight to Panama City alone. I can't remember how many miles, but it was around 12 hours I think. On family vacations to siesta key in Florida, my parents used to drive it in one day.
August 6, 20179 yr 1150 miles from Pueblo, Colorado, to the Louisville area. Oh, and it was in a Penske moving truck. My dad was a passenger. I now do the drive annually over two days (each way) and it's just me and my dog.
August 6, 20179 yr The longest time straight through in a car was from Reno NV to NKY. It took us about 36 hours. I went with my dad during summer during college. It took us 2 weeks to get there as we stopped at every landmark along the way. Coming back we drove straight through other than to stop to eat and get gas. And they were usually the same place, at a truck stop. I slept while he drove and vice versa. By myself, I have driven to Daytona twice.
August 6, 20179 yr Solo driving would be to Memphis, about 500 miles. Did that numerous times in 09-10.
