August 7, 20179 yr Same for me...Denver to Lexington...left Denver about 230 am, got to Lex about 800 pm or so. All by myself with almost no sleep. Pulled over somewhere in KS about 530 am or abouts to get some shuteye, but parking lot was so noisy that didn't last long and was back on the road after about 45 minutes. Couldn't remember how fa a drive that was, so just looked it up on mapquest. Over 1200 miles in a day. That's a pretty good haul.
August 7, 20179 yr This jaunt around year 2001 .. drove to our camp in Canada , 1100 miles to the boat dock , fished a week , drove home on Sunday .. worked three 12 hour shifts , left again on thursday and did the 1100 miles again ( in a VW Jetta diesel ) . I was so in love with our place in Canada it was worth it . You win the Grand Road Warrior Trophy in my book. My 800 mile journey at the age of 27 was a grind. Another 300 miles would have been out of the ? That must have been some place in Canada...:lol2:
August 7, 20179 yr Around 1,100 miles, Austin, TX to Indy, but through Nashville, Louisville, and Cincy because I had to drop something off in NKY. Was alone. Drove over night. Was in the 70's when I left Austin and was 27 when I arrived in Indy. That stretch around Jackson, TN between Memphis and Nashville was a real struggle.
August 7, 20179 yr We have a bunch of Road Warriors! I used to be. These days, anything over six hours and I'm flying.
August 17, 20179 yr I drove Memphis, TN to Boston, MA many years ago. 22 hrs. Would never do it again.
