For Public Schools I would have to say, The Stadium of Champions In Hopkinsville.

 

Also need to give an honorable mention to "Death Valley" in Lincoln County, what a atmosphere on a fall friday night as the fog rolls across the valley and the tombstone seen in the midst of the fog.

Where's the tombstone at in Lincoln Co? The graveyard at Meade Co's on the hill is hard to miss, but I don't remember a tombstone at Lincoln.

What about Ashland Blazer? I've heared they're field and atmosphere can't be beaten on a friday night.

Blazer does have a really nice field, however it's not the field itself that makes it great. The atmosphere on Friday nights is amazing and IMO can't be beaten. The players are surrounded on 3 sides by the fans, and it is rare to go to an Ashland game that isn't packed. If you haven't been to a game at Putnam you need to because there is an alomst electric feeling in the air... and yes I know I'm biased .

 

I will say however the visitors locker room does need work, that's the biggest problem.

New website, http://www.mercertitans.com you can do a tour of the indoor turf in the new Mercer sports complex. Evidently this is a site under construction that the football boosters and Mr. Laymon at the tech center school are working on together, that's according to Coach Yates on the Coach Jaggers radio show. Comparing Corbin's facility to Mercer's is hard, because Mercer's has better outfitting due to the fact that it is newer. The turf is better, the weight room much better and so on. Corbin's is still incredible, just a little older.

Very nice, i took the virtual tour also, I personally like about Corbin's facility is thers is no post in the middle of the big turf field, the whole complex is a whole lot more open.

You are right about the more poles being problematic with Mercer's indoor field.

 

Both schools are incredibly blessed to have these facilities.

So true. Why aren't they a powerhouse then? Are they in 5A next year.

Mercer's is sweet from that picture. Mayfield constructed a brand new training facility but it does not have a indoor practice facility but there was no need due to there being a new indoor soccer facility built in town that the team uses anytime they need to practice indoors. The down side is it is not located on campus.

My favorite stadiums would be Mayfield'w War Memorial Stadium, it is a older facility that has one of the best bermuda fields anywhere and the stadium capacity is huge. I also like TIlghman's McRight Field, Danville's Admiral Stadium and the obvious choice of Hopkinsville's Stadium of Champions
