Highlands hoopsters to NCC

Recommended Posts

The thing everyone has to remember about school districts and open enrollment is that the state funds schools based on Daily attendance. If school districts lose students to other school districts they lose money and would have a hard time staying open. Kenton County has open enrollment but the money coming from the state is staying in the same school system. Just something to think about when having this discussion.

A student leaving HHS to enroll in NCC is different then a student leaving one publicly funded school to enroll in a different publicly funded school. When a student in a publicly funded school (government funded) leaves to attend a privately funded school it saves every tax payer money. For this reason alone (saving me the tax payer dollars) it's all good!!!

The real funny thing about this whole entire thread is that everyone assumes it has to do with the Posey's which it does not.

The other funny thing is how the thread keeps having posts in it from those that want to knock it.

Not throwing names out there. Now that summer basketball has started, these kids are participating with Highlands. The question will be whether or not they stay enrolled at Highlands I presume and we will not know anything about that until school starts in the fall.
