September 24, 200619 yr Just because of who he plays for. I mean, they were playing Michigan St and John Elle, and I put more weight on last week than this week. Even if I didn't, the past two weeks he's been 44-85 (just north of 50%) for 553 yds (6.5 yds per attempt) 8 tds and 3 INT. which is just not screaming legit Heisman if he doesn't play for the Irish. He didnt jump to the top of the list, but you might have to start mentioning him again if he has another big game.
September 24, 200619 yr He didnt jump to the top of the list, but you might have to start mentioning him again if he has another big game. That's different. I'm just not ready to start annointing either Quinn or the Lord Savior Weis after a mortal begining to the season and a thorough destruction by Michigan. One game doesn't put them back on the map for me, especially not against the king of choke, Johnelle.

Believe me, I am more tired of hearing about them too as much as you are, But they will start talking about it again....Because it's ND.
September 24, 200619 yr Wow what a great night. I was playing in a euchre tournament and watching the game. I was watching the Irish get drilled for most of the game, and I was not doing so well in Euchre either. But then to watch them come back to win is unbelievable, and what makes it even better is that I ended up making a huge run in and ended up in second in my euchre tournament so I made some money. This has been a great night! Hopefully it will be even a greater day tomorrow after a Bengals win!!!
September 24, 200619 yr Not the way I would have scripted it, but perhaps the win was a little sweeter since I had mentally wrote them off in the 1st qtr. The team showed a lot of heart to battle back, the defense was huge in the 2nd half, as was Quinn. I really didn't thing that they would be able to get back into the game considering the downpour and all. They probably would not have if the D didn't step up, and place them in positon to score or score for the O.
September 24, 200619 yr Just curious if there will be any reprecussions for the ND assistant that grabbed the MSU player by the helmet to yank him out of the bench area in the first half? I saw that replay and could not get how the MSU player got a 15 yard penalty for being jerked out by an assistant. Oh, BTW, congrats to ND on a big comeback. Another story in their fabled book.

September 24, 200619 yr I still dont think ND is a very good team, but now that they have comeback and Michigan St forget to finish the game, we will have to hear for a while how ND is back and they will beat everybody and Quinn should be heisman blah blah blah. The Trojans will put a hurtin on them later this year.
September 24, 200619 yr Very important win for the Irish. How much money did that win make the school? They run the table all the way until USC, lose 2 games on the season and still make the BCS.

Those intangibles will put him back in the race.
September 24, 200619 yr One game doesn't put them back on the map for me, . That's ironic considering everyone dropped him over "one game."
September 24, 200619 yr The Trojans will put a hurtin on them later this year. The Trojans had best start showing some offense. Two weeks in a row, they've had subpar offensive performances. (Use "offensive" however you wish in that sentence.)
