April 12, 20179 yr If he was acting reasonable it absolutely wouldn't. The mere fact that he failed to comply makes me wonder. Either way, it does feel relevant to the conversation. The fact that he is a doctor was used to play him up as a victim so i think his past is relevant.
April 12, 20179 yr For those of you who say the removal could have been handled better.. How do YOU remove someone who refuses to move?
April 12, 20179 yr I read it was a partner airline and they were just going for their normal shift. The flight was delayed 3 hours because of this in addition to the normal delay they had. Does this count towards their hours? I don't doubt that you read it,but I would have to seriously question the source. I don't see any way they would have boarded the pasengers knowing they needed the seats for a crew.

Here is another article I just read written by AP airline writer WXIX : United faces public-relations fiasco over dragged passenger "United said passengers were already seated when four employees of Republic Airline showed up at the gate and insisted on boarding the plane for Louisville, Kentucky, so they could operate a flight for the next morning."
April 12, 20179 yr For those of you who say the removal could have been handled better.. How do YOU remove someone who refuses to move? I think myself and a buddy could remove him without what happened to his face. I had no problem with dragging him. I agree with your general premise that there is only so much you can do when someone is not willing.

Very odd.

Easy being a MMQB... close quarters, he is completely limp and you dont know how much he weighs, what hes grabbing etc... His face got hurt, imo, because he didnt stand up and walk out. I dont think they did that on purpose.
April 12, 20179 yr This story just keeps getting better and better or maybe worse and worse. Just read on Twitter: "They found the criminal records of one David Anh Duy Dao. The doctor on the plan was David Thanh Duc Dao." Dude gets dragged off the plan and then gets his named smeared through the mud lol

If I'm him, I sue every network that ran his name through the mud as well as United. Guy is going to be one of the richest men in America when it's all said and done. :lol2:
April 12, 20179 yr I think it is 100% in their right to remove him. I just don't like how they handled that process. I'm not sure what is in the fine print. I've not read it. What does it actually say? LB, since you've read it, can you fill us in?
April 12, 20179 yr For those of you who say the removal could have been handled better.. How do YOU remove someone who refuses to move? We both know the name of the game is Voluntary Compliance but we also both know that some people only understand Force. I have a question for you HB20, do you think Police Officers should be tasked with and/or have the legal authority to intervene in civil/contractual disputes and use force when the "victim" has done nothing wrong and has not violated any laws?
