Completely disagree about it being broken.

 

On average in the continental United States 1.73 million people fly on planes. Try to figure the logistics of that. How many times do you hear about anything like this?

 

The percentages of issues are so tiny it can't be measured.

 

I know being delayed sucks, but weather and all kinds of things come into play. It's just that so many people take it so personally when something happens.

 

It is one sided not because of the airline companies, but because of the FAA. It is that way for your protection. People lives are potentially in danger.

 

Between us, MrsC and I fly over 100 legs per year. Other than 10-20 minute delays here and there, 99.9% of the time everything goes off without a hitch. The absolute vast majority of people that work for the TSA, the airlines, and the airports are good people trying to do their job as best as they can.

 

I do not understand why so many people think flying is so inconvenient. I leave my house at 7:00am, take a 20 minute drive to the Lexington airport, get there an hour and ten minutes before my flight, pass through security, have a beer at the bar, and by 11:00am I am sitting at my favorite beach bar. Life is good.

 

We only beat and bludgeon a select few passengers so the process isn't broken. Come on man!

 

If an Airline has to have a passenger beat and bludgeoned the process is BROKEN!

 

And the Lexington Airport is a ghost-town, at least give us a real example.

I role through Tampa and Chicago all the time too. I get there an hour and 45 minutes prior to my flight when flying out of them, so its a whole extra 35 minutes to get through them.

Which goes to waste something like 90% of the time if I'm not mistaken, because the vast majority of people can't fly that often or go on trips that often.

 

If airlines weren't so damn cheap people would actually take them up on their offers. Make it $1000 cash, all lodging and meal expenses incurred while waiting for the next flight and 1st class seats on the next flight out and I guarantee they'd have more than the needed people fighting over who gets bumped.

All this talk about him breaking the law is what is ridiculous. And if he broke the law why hasn't he been charged with any Federal Crimes?
