You know these boys personally?

Remember these are kids and you have no idea what discussions were had between them and their parents.

You are correct, just typing "quitters" was in poor taste

Did someone get mad at you over saying someone was a quitter when .... they actually quit? What an age we live in.

I get what your saying but I don't believe these boys are those type of kids and I still believe JV ball in for development and playing time and if at the end of the year a coach goes through evaluations and lets them know what they need to do for the following year and they decide not to come back fine, but if they don't know and aren't told that is unfair to the kids.

Wow. Ten pages on this topic including a one

If this thread doesn't reach at least 15 pages, you are all quitters in my book.....

Wow. Ten pages on this topic including a one-page detour discussing Michael Jordan. Now that is a passion for hoops.

I hear ya cat.

Folks go to My Settings - General Settings and then 3/4 of the way down the page set to "Use Forum Default" and you'll get 50 post per page, instead of only 20.

I just assumed she had blocked that many people... :idunno:

If you look at what is on the bench for NCC next year for varsity, as a good Varsity Coach would do is prep them talented freshman the way NCC seems to be doing.

For one it's about timing. Hall and Pangallo was moved up yes, but only seen the floor when it was at blow out status.

Zack and Grant would of been hard for them to beat out of a position.

So alot of factors go into this decision I'm sure. One being preparing the best kids for the following year. I think it's smart.

I also think if a ball player plays at a high level AAU circuit works hard in off session and maybe has a trainer and is a freshman deserves to move up to JV.

Back in the day don't apply here AAU is a game changer. Can't compare.

One thing I am on fence with its at 15 or 16 thinking they have done all they can achieve if moved up.

A ball player should always be working on their game being better then the year before. It's a mental thing to maturity.

Couldn't find 50 per page setting, but found 30. I must not have your ELITE status. :taz:

Hall would have been where he is regardless.

I 100% disagree. Practicing against Pangallo, the Moeves's, etc. Then experiencing gamedays on and off the court with upperclassmen molds a mindset. I couldn't disagree anymore with your statement

I never said he wouldn't have been moved up and hung out with those guys, it was said that he wouldn't have been the same player and yes he would have because he would have been moved up eventually.

I just can't believe this thread is this long... who cares what happened? Were they assets to the team? Were they a cancer to the team? If both answered "no" then leave it be. These kids don't need to hear people bashing them because they made a choice to better themselves elsewhere. Good grief
