December 2, 20169 yr GM was set to fold up and close down factories. The government stepped in to keep them afloat so thousands of autoworkers could keep their jobs. I remember people tearing their hair out on this forum about how Obama was undermining the free market and how it was "tough luck" for the people heading for unemployment, but that's the way capitalism works. Now, the government has got to do something to keep these jobs, by God! I know, you don't see the difference in a tax incentive and a bailout with tax dollars. You should really let go of the leftist view that all money belongs to the government.

Brass ones, my friend. I think you meant $7,000,000 not $700,000,000. Which is spread over 10 years and comes with a $16M investment from the company back into those factories. In the end the $700,000 per year from Indiana will be more than offset by the state income taxes collected from those employees that will be working versus being out of work. Indiana will receive a little over $2,000,000 per year from the income taxes paid from those that will be keeping their job.
