September 26, 201610 yr I had the privilege of seeing he and Willie Shoemaker at side-by-side tables at the Coach House in Lexington some years ago. Palmer was playing in a Seniors event at Griffin Gate, and Willie Shoemaker was dining with Grover "Bud" Delp and in town to ride Spectacular Bid (I think).
September 26, 201610 yr Arnold Palmer has died today. He was one of golf's true legends. I know his health was realign failing as he was unable to hit the first golf shot at the Masters in April. RIP Arnold.
September 26, 201610 yr I was afraid that this day would come, but it was beginning to look inevitable. What a great man. Always my favorite bar none. There will never be another Arnold Palmer. I was fortunate to have been able to see him golf about 15 years ago at the opening of the River's Bend Golf Course near Lebanon, Ohio shortly after he was bouncing back from his battle with cancer. You're the King, Arnie. RIP.
September 26, 201610 yr Heroes get remembered, but legends never die. RIP to one of the greatest people the world has ever seen, he just so happened to be a fantastic golfer. He will be severely missed.
