Coaching killed UK. That's the bottom line.

 

That's only fitting since UK football has killed so many coaches.

Folks like to blame Chuck Smith when Boyle County is 0-3. Seems like the only person to blame for this is Stoops.

It went over your head my friend.. Stoops has had someone to blame for 4 years now. Pat Towles knew it and a few of us did as well.

2nd half - entire stadium was just holding its breath hoping to hang on and get the season off to the right start. But the mo just kept going to Southern Miss. Many fans stayed, even at the end when down 2 scores. It was not until the turnover at the very end that the stadium started the mass exodus.

 

The stadium was low energy, PA was terrible with some very odd TV intermission music. But fans wanted a win. With a win the hope of a bowl was alive. The best way to say it, may be to say there was quite hope right up until the end. Given the pessimism going into the game (people we TGed with were not optimistic) I would say 90% of fans are not counting on a bowl - again. The season is already a write off.

 

And that is not good given how the upcoming SEC schedule did Thursday and today.

UK fans have already given up on this season. After one game. They are done and it's hard to blame them.

It is unbelievably hard to be a UK football fan, but I've not given up on them. IMO, they started playing not to loose,instead of playing to win! I saw a lot of promise in what they did in that 1st quarter and most of the 2nd. I'm going to stay on the "half full" side of this and see what they've got next week.

Stoops is not, it seems, getting character players. They fold like loose leaf paper.

 

But hes a great recruiter.
