September 4, 201610 yr Southern Miss might be a pretty decent team, but I'm sorry this is just an embarrassing loss. Unfortunately it just seems to be par for the course.all I keep hearing is how UK has so much more talent now. Well by gosh it's not showing on the field. The defense looked absolutely horrible tonight the last two-and-a-half quarters. They haven't been able to stop anyone the past three years and now start like this tonight. I said it last year and I'll say it now the first game of the year I have not been impressed whatsoever with Stoops tenure here at UK

September 4, 201610 yr Stoops area is known for no halftime adjustments and awful second half play. ELAM IS AWFUL OUT THERE!!!!!!!!! Truth... Coaching is shown at half time. UK got out coached by Southern Miss just like they did against Petrino in this situation last year.

September 4, 201610 yr Turnovers killed UK. I would love to know what your personal Bias as against a certain UK qb and you cqn pm if you want to share. No doubt they have to cut down the turnovers. Anyone who watched this game knows the difference was the defense sucking and not stopping the run. Southern Miss controlled the clock and prevented the offense from getting in any true rhythm in the second half. Overall Barker played a very good first half and showed the potential he has to be a very good college qb. Does he need to cut down on a few turnovers no doubt. That should hopefully only get better with the more experience he gains.

September 4, 201610 yr To paraphrase Wireman in the UofL thread. It's Southern Miss, UK was supposed to handle them easily. OH wait somebody forgot to tell Southern Miss. This has nothing to do with U of L. Kentucky blew this game and it's squarely on the coach's shoulders. There is no excuse.
