EZ Living
I would let him go 7-8-9 or 8-9 in situations like that. I hardly say he's prove he can start. He's never started more than 16 games in a year. I meant to say he has proven he has the stuff to start.
AverageJoesGym
I meant to say he has proven he has the stuff to start. But does he have the physical ability to be a starter? That's the issue.
EZ Living
With his stuff you try to find that out. Pedro Martinez wasn't as big, (5'11 170 lbs), as Iglesias and pitched for 18 years in the bigs. Electric stuff like his comes along every so often and they would be wasting it if they didn't make an attempt to make a starter out of him. With what they are paying him through 2020 you don't throw him in the bullpen. You might as well trade him while he has some value.
Bandit29
He must start. Cannot waste that pitching every few days....like Chapman.
UKMustangFan
He's never been a starter before, has had shoulder issues which make durability a real question mark, and has said he feels more comfortable and likes pitching out of the bullpen better. So why are we wanting to turn him into something he's not?
HammerTime
He must start. Cannot waste that pitching every few days....like Chapman. If you are smart with it and get 7-8 innings a week in high leverage situations he's probably more valuable than he is as a starter.
