nWo
I used to love sitting in the living room with my dad watching Mr. Ali's fights. Dad would talk about all of the fighters of the 20th century and sad Ali was the greatest. R.I.P.

mcpapa
Great athlete. Any issues with him bailing on his civic duty to fight for our country when he got drafted? 'God' rest Cassius Clay ! Absolutely, positively, unequivocally NONE.

PurplePride92
When I was younger Muhammad Ali came to Bowling Green for a play about his life. I was fortunate enough to meet him and shake his hand. I'll always remember how big his hands were and how my hand disappeared into his when I shook it.

The Professor
I remember listening on the radio when he defeated Sonny Liston in 1964. My dad was county jailer and some of the inmates wanted a radio to listen to the fight, so dad got one and we went upstairs where they were and listened to it with them. I remember in his formative years as a champ I didn't like him much and rooted for him to lose his fights. I thought he was too much of a loudmouth and bragged on himself to no end. But then it didn't take me long to realize he was a genius in marketing his sport. Most of his bravado was just an act to pump up attention to his next fight. The sport needs another Ali to pump it up again. RIP Greatest.

I remember my dad getting up in the middle of the night to listen to the fights on AFN (Armed Forces Radio). He was a big fan. RIP to the Greatest. Run To State
Greatest boxer ever! I loved watching him fight and loved his personality. Boxing was great because of him. I can't think of another sports figure that impacted me anywhere near the level Ali did. Rest in peace, Greatest.

MJAlltheWay24
Any issues with him bailing on his civic duty to fight for our country when he got drafted? We might not see much on BGP but I have seen some on social media.

Clyde
I'm 52 which means I'm of the age where I got to watch all of the big Ali fights on TV in the 70s. It was family viewing time at our household. An Ali flurry was so much fun to watch.
MJAlltheWay24
I have a hard time calling someone a draft dodger and judging them on it when I didnt step up post 9/11 (after I graduated in 2004), when I am sure my country could have used me.
