plantmanky
Looks like we are going to end up with 38 coaching changes this year, the average has been in the 40's the last few years. Seems par for the course.

Harry Doyle
And a couple always come open late in the summer on their own (admin jobs, something else comes along to get out of it, etc.) Sadly, I don't see it slowing down anytime soon for years to come. Crazy isnt it. Started off so slow we thought it was going to be a light year and now look where we are at.

Colonels_Wear_Blue
Henry Clay was never open. I personally saw it listed on the school district's employment opportunities site. Was it listed by mistake?
Harry Doyle
Coach Simpson I believe retired from his teaching/administration position and they just posted the coaching job as a formality.

Harry Doyle
How many coaches retired compared to resigning/firing? Mike Holcomb/Letcher Central is the only one I believe.
Harry Doyle
These are the ones that opened due to coaches taking other head coaching jobs: 1) J-town (left for Casey County) 2) Henderson (left for HC job in FLA) 3) Union County (left for Henderson) 4) Nelson County (left for Montgomery) 5) Greenup County (left for PLD). 6) Shelby Valley (left for Pike Central) There was more 'leap frog' than years past, all be it not much...more than years past.
