There are a lot of good coaches year and year out that get out or are forced out of being a head coach and land assistant jobs at "Good" programs. A lot of times the bad taste in the mouth from a previous job keeps these assistant coaches in these programs. Thus you get the whole rich get richer scenario. A lot of top programs have assistants who are great coaches, just got burned. Plus good jobs take care of their assistants in both the classroom and on the pay scale.
