Wow

Wow, there's going to be a mountain uprising on this one.

Creech not being named Miss Basketball is fine with me, but not having her as one of the top 10 players in the state is a joke.

This. Times 5000.

I admit I have not watched these girls but you have a D1 player who scores a lot not on the team?

I know the committee strongly considered Creech but felt she was in the 11 to 13 range.

I think it makes a big difference with all classifications being considered for the team and it not being a seniors only award.

Creech not on the list takes credibility away from the list IMO. I agree she was not Miss Basketball, but not top 10 is a bit silly. Not to take away from anyone who made it as they are all great and deserving, but I think Creech is top 4 for sure. Again just my opinion, but the committee missed this one when they shouldn't have.

Nonetheless it will make for great conversation, thats for sure!

I was/am a strong supporter of Boley for Ms. Basketball. But Creech would have probably been in my top 10. Other than that looks to be a list I could live with.

Playing Devil's Advocate.....has everyone who is saying the list is a joke and has no credibility seen every girl on this list play? I know I have only seen two of them play, Seygan Robins and Erin Boley. I haven't seen any of the others play including Whitney Creech. I've seen stats but we all know stats don't automatically earn you a spot on the team.

I know I certainly don't qualify to make any picks on this team but I know what I have been told by people who I feel do qualify to speak on girl's basketball and I trust their opinion.

In my opinion if this was a top 10 list for Seniors, Creech makes it easy. But like PP92 says when its spread across the whole state and not restricted to one class it makes it very hard to make it. Just my opinion. And I have seen them all play, everyone of them, numerous times. List is solid.

"all-around contributions to their respective teams sets them apart"

With that statement directly from the BGP criteria, I don't see how you can leave Creech off the team. Especially when you added the girl from Ashland to the team. I don't see how she would be more deserving.
