No. Boley was the best player in the state.

My point is Creech averaged almost 60 points a game and took her team to the region finals. Some of these players averaged 13 or 14 points a game and their teams got bounced early in postseason play. She had a strong season and a great postseason as well.

When you're picking one player no. This is a list of 10 players. Her not making the list is insane. I don't have a dog in this fight, but I think she deserved to be on the list.

Where we diverge on our thought process is that 60 has to mean something. I don't believe that's the case in and of itself.

 

Again, maybe she is better than some of the others. No clue. I'm just not putting her on simpl for her PPG.

It's not the only way to measure a player's year. However, the initial shock, including from me, now is lessened. I'm a firm believer that stats are not a great measure of a player. I also believe that the quality of play in EKY is below average OVERALL. There are some great players , including Creech, but overall it's below average and sometimes shockingly below average.

 

That hurts Creech. What offsets that is that a D1 college says they think she can play at their school. I have no doubt she can play. I just don't look at 50+ PPG as being automatically better than what the other girls have done against better talent.

 

Not an easy call for the crew that made this team.

It's not impossible. A girl from Harlan is on the team. I'd assume Macy Morris made the team previously.

So, let's be specific with Creech. If we aren't a big believer that stats make a difference, what circumstances would decidedly put Creech in the "Top Ten"?

My Lord she averaged 50, 60 somewhere in there has to mean something regardless of the competition, its not like she was playing 5th graders. A D-1 school obviously thought it meant something as well. She drew double and triple teams every game she played, does anyone have any idea how tiring that could be because I sure don't. Creech deserves to be in the top 10 and it blows me away that she isn't and that people think she isn't deserving.
