Without knowing who that coach will be, are you happy that Coach Carr is out, or do you wish that Coach Carr, despite what is being said and rumored about him, was going to be his coach again next season???

I never approached my sons coaches. I always told them if they had an issue with playing time. Or the coach, they needed to address it with the coach. It wasn't my issue, it was theirs. I was not at every practice, I was not in the know of the game plan. Part of them growing up. I was willing to give them advise of how to approach the coach, but it was their issue to deal with.

Parents not willing to cut the cord are a big part of the issue.

 

Agree with you if it is an issue only with PT. But the way a coach talks or treats your kid isn't your issue? It sure as h#ll is in my book. Coaches are supposed to be the adults & mentors, but some on here feel that they should be able to say or do whatever they want. BS, and I mean BS. If a coach steps over the line and I am not saying Brad did because I wasn't there, then they deal with the consequences no matter who they are...period.

 

As far as the recording goes; in this day and age of technology and most people having smart phones, you better know that you could possibly be recorded at any time by anyone.

I think you took TAC's post out of context man, relax. I think your post about his role on the team may have given him the idea that you were questioning playing time possibly. I dont know but no need to get defensive, I do applaud your getting involved and looking out for the best interest of your son. All kids need pushed and many times they need to hear it from someone other than their parents. TAC is a good dude who would never create issues on here. Best of luck to your son!

My son enjoyed playing for Coach Carr, it was our first year at Scott. We have since transferred out prior to this ever breaking due to personal reasons. We both were looking forward to playing his senior year under Coach Carr. If we had of stayed after this had came out we would have transferred out because I truly would not have wanted him to play under no one else but Coach Carr.

Thank heavens I had a coach that tore me down some just to help me build myself up. Stopped me from thinking only of myself and not the bigger team picture. Helped me prepare myself in class which helped in life to this day. My kids are great human beings doing well because of the life lessens he taught me. Thank heavens he was there at a critical time in my life when I definitely could have taken that wrong road. Was it easy, hell no, I was a tough case but he NEVER gave up on me. He did what it took to steer me in a positive direction, and sometimes that takes getting a little dirty.

Allegedly, there is a recording that is the smoking gun for running Coach Carr out of Scott. Now anytime a Governmental Entity uses a piece of Evidence to make their case that Evidence should most surely be subject to the Rules of Evidence just like in a formal court proceeding.

 

With the above in mind and the fact that Scott High School recently suspended a student for sharing a recording with someone other than the Scott Administration some questions to ask are:

 

Who recorded the audio of Coach Carr?

What is the Chain of Custody of that recording?

Was that recording shared with anyone other than the Administration of Scott?

Did the player (I am making an assumption it was a player) that recorded Coach Carr do it on his own?

Did another adult put the player that recorded Coach Carr up to recording Coach Carr?

Was this an official covert operation on behalf of the Scott Administration and the Kenton County Board of Education?

If it was an official covert operation what is the Scott High School and Kenton County Board of Education policy for using a student to covertly spy on a teacher/coach?

Did another authority figure inside Scott High School act alone and put the player up to recording Coach Carr?

If another authority figure inside Scott High School put the player up to recording Coach Carr did that authority figure follow the Scott High School and Kenton County Board of Education policy on using a minor/student to spy on another Scott High School authority figure?

Is Scott High School and the Kenton County Board of Education claiming the recording came from an anonymous source to protect everyone involved thus becoming co-conspirators in a coverup after the fact?

Why did it take so long for the recording to surface?

Did a kid/player make the choice to hang onto the recording on his own and not share it with anyone?

Did an adult take custody of the recording (or at least a copy of the recording) specifically to share when it was most likely it would cause Coach Carr to be forced out?

How many people have copies of this recording?

Who shared the recording with all the people that have copies?

Okay, I already understood the basics about the existence and submission of an audio recording. My question was about I4C's earlier mention of "another coach" somehow being involved with the recording. Is that a reference to another coach in the region? Another Kenton County coach? Another [gulp] Scott coach?
