Brad Carr out at Scott?

Featured Replies

1944: 18 year olds storm the beach of Normandy into almost certain death. 2016: 18 year olds need a safe place because words hurt their feelings. Coach Carr owned up to his actions to a school board that backs none of their teachers or coaches. Coach Carr is in a good place. He holds people accountable and backs the people he surrounds himself with. When I grew up what happen among a team stayed with the team. We was brothers and had each other's back, we worked thru our problems. Coach Carr failed with this one kid cause he didn't get thru to this kid of what a teammate, brother, friend and mentor means. I've spent many hours at his practices and in his locker room, I hope my son gets to have a coach half as good as Coach Carr. Coaching is not about winning. Striving to a high level is a given. It's about drastically changing lives. Miss that and you miss the point! If the kid was so affected by what was said to him why did he hold the recording for 4 months? Cause he didn't want to affect his senior year. The people hurt most are the kids behind all the way down to the lil eagle program. Brad spent many weekends helping the first thru fifth graders. Good luck to the eagle nation you are going to need it without him. A coaches worth isn't found in their w/L record or their resume but in the impact made on the game &I in their players lives. Coach Carr made me a better person.

This might be dumbest thing I've seen. Name the last public Class A school to win the region. Size matters.

What does it matter if your public or private, oh and by the way didn't Newport beat Holmes about 4 or 5 years ago in the regional final or is that dumb too.

Check out the teams who went to the Sweet 16 this year, so let me repeat myself, it doesn't matter what the size is its the talent in the school

In one year it may not matter but over the years it definitely matters. Look at how many small schools make it over time and it is much lower than the larger schools. That doesn't mean a small school can't do it but the odds are against it.

if you look at the 9th it seems Holmes, CovCath, NewCath, Holy Cross in recent years are the contenders for the regional title, with Holmes and CovCath winning them more than the other 2 but its about the talent not the size IMO.

A school of 750 boys has better odds than a school with a 100 boys. Yes it does take talent but when you have more to choose from it makes a difference.

All speculations honestly. Brad Carr went out on his own terms. Until you prove otherwise, you can't keep on saying all of these "rumors". The rumors are starting to get ridiculous at this point. Everyone's posts on here have zero evidence to back the speculations up...

Fact that parents went to the AD to complain about his coaching style. Especially after one particular game.

There was a recording at a Christmas tournament by a player who's father happens to coach at Scott. The recording was held onto until the season was over.

Is anyone disputing that ?

If that's true then every last question in Post 234 is relevant.

The better question is, has anyone heard the recording and can confirm its existence??

Funny thing that coach just had a kid quit for bullying. Karma make come around.

Okay you are correct, doesn't mean a coach a forced to quit because of parents complaining. My post was just to find some kind of factual evidence proving the alleged "recording" incident.

Who then? If you're referring to the basketball program, there is not a coach who is a parent to a player on the basketball team.

You better be careful, you might poke the wrong bear. :taz:

Not trying to start trouble. Just trying to find some kind of evidence to prove there's a recording that lead to Carr resigning. That's all I need, as of now, there isn't any fair evidence to prove foul play... I don't follow the crowd.

So a kid was being bullied on the baseball team and the coach did nothing about it?
