What position will he likely play at NKU?

I'm guessing SF.

PF.

This was the correct choice.

Congratulations to Carson Williams and family, and the community in Owenton.

Inside at the 4. Williams and Faulkner will both start as freshmen. Another freshman from Lima, Ohio, named Dantez Walton will likely start as well at a wing. NKU lost Jalen Billups and Tyler White, not much in the way of talent returning. The infusion of freshmen and Alabama transfer Jeff Garrett will make a big difference for Coach Brannen next season.

Congrats! The state of Kentucky gained respect points from me tonight. Instead of giving it to the higher ranked/ bigger school commit Goodin, they made a good decision and took into account these two played each other and Carson came away with the W and better stats.

Hard to find a better rep for a school and your state than Carson Williams.

If you are saying that Mr. Basketball decisions were based upon one game, even a little bit, then how come those other players that scored more points, had better stats and came away with the W against Williams didn't win Mr. Basketball?

Being a bit sarcastic with comment above, but serious about this one - congratulations to a great, deserving player, Carson Williams!

It was a pleasure to see this young man play in HS, looking forward to seeing him at NKU. Congratulations Carson.

Have not seen him play. But welcoming the talent to Nku. As season ticket holder, always looking for the guys to get better here in highlands heights. Shame we have to wait 9 months to see him play!

How are you sure as to who will start?

I've been watching Carson play since he was playing point guard for his middle school teams and dominating I might add. He's been a dominant player since he first stepped on the court. He's been getting serious Varsity minutes for Owen County since 7th grade. He's a freak of nature if you ask me. Happy that he's going to Norse country next season, Brannen is really shaping that program into a high caliber school. I'd like to see NKU sneak into the tournament once over the course of Carson's career.

More importantly, this is the first time a Mr. Basketball winner will attend Northern Kentucky University. Let that sink in for a minute.

NKU has arrived! Congratulations Carson, and best of luck at NKU. #NorseUp

Lot's of well earned excitement surrounding NKU next year!

Congrats to Mr. Williams.
