BulldogPride Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Now that all the KABC region players of the year have been announced who are your Top 3 Candidates and who do you think wins Kentucky Mr. Basketball?
MBKT Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Forget top 3- This is a two man race between Williams and Goodin. I say Carson Williams.
JesusShuttlesworth Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Give me Carson Williams, Ben Weyer, or Mason Faulkner.
LCDAWGS19 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Give me Carson Williams, Ben Weyer, or Mason Faulkner. That's my list.
camelman Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Carson Williams. Would love to say Matt Wilson, but unfortunately he is not even the top player in his own county.
PurplePride92 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I think it is between Carson Williams and Quentin Goodin. Goodin is finishing the season strong. I think Carson gets a slim victory even though we'll never know the vote count.
Jim Schue Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I've been told the Taylor Co. statkeepers have been getting a bit creative lately during this push for Mr. Basketball.
OldhamOldie Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I've been told the Taylor Co. statkeepers have been getting a bit creative lately during this push for Mr. Basketball. That's unfortunate if true. I noticed one of Goodin's game the number of baskets and assists just didn't make sense. Now maybe I understand why!
OldhamOldie Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I think Carson Williams wins it, with Faulkner or Goodin right behind. Any of the three, though I hope Taylor County ceases any stat-padding if that is the case. Goodin is a fine player and doesn't need help from stat people.
undercoverwildcat24 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I have looked through all the stats and not sure where issue might be. Dunbar game was closest I saw. Team made 18 baskets. Goodin made 4. So there was opportunities to get assist. Stats are so subjective though. I'm sure each statman can see things a little different.
Oldercoach Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Carson Williams and not a close second. Has put a smalltown team on his back and made it very relevant in All A, and soon to be Sweet Sixteen. No local AP media coverage to hype his contribution and reputation. Just a once in a lifetime local player that represents what Mr. Ky Basketball means to most of us oldtimers.
SouthO1 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I agree Carson Williams and not a close second. Has put a smalltown team on his back and made it very relevant in All A, and soon to be Sweet Sixteen. No local AP media coverage to hype his contribution and reputation.
