I think that he deserves Mr. Basketnall, however he is not the best player in the sate.

 

Williams is the best player in this state. Faulkner and Goodin are right there as well.

The kid is a rebounding monster. They play a tough schedule and have loss some close games but this kid is the real deal. Ben Weyer would be a great choice as well. I've only had a chance to watch mostly tenth and ninth region basketball so I'm not sure about the rest of the state.

 

I saw Weyer at the All-A and he is a fine player, but I would not put him up there with Williams, Goodin and Faulkner. I believe I heard Weyer is headed to play at a Division II school, so I would imagine that might reinforce my argument.

He is not the best player in the state but I do believe he will win. Faulkner and Goodin should be the top 2 but they will steal votes from each other. I actually favor Faulkner over Goodin but I've only seen them play a handful of times.

Even though he will not win I have to show some hometown love to Tyrik Edwards of Christian County. The young man has lead the resurgence of the program and hopefully another state championship.

May be d2 but I would take my chances with the team that two of those players are going too, and if I'm not mistaken the head coach of that same team has been quoted to say I may have made a mistake not offering him. No big deal though he is very happy with his decision to play "d2"

That d2 school is Bellarmine. Trust me when I say this even though they are D2 they would beat Nku and a lot of D1 schools so your assessment on Weyer going to d2 may hurt him on winning Mr. Basketball is ludacris.

And who would you say is? I have seen several of the young men mentioned in this thread play this year...not all of them but some of them. And of the ones I have seen, it's not close...Williams is the best high school player of the bunch. If he doesn't win it I will just have to shrug my shoulders and wonder what were the voters thinking.

IMO Goodin. Faulkner is the best scorer out of the bunch.

Williams is by far the best player in the state. What he does for his team day in & day out. Goodin is good but slacks off too much not really a team player ethier.. Mason is really good if his team had other people then they would be really good!

I agree... The other players mentioned are terrific basketball players, and I'm sure great young men as well, and will have great college careers. But CW is the best overall HS player. If he doesn't win it this year I'm not sure what it takes to win.
