January 7, 201610 yr Just a meatless diet so you can still have eggs, peanut butter, cheese, etc. Was thinking about it because can't remember last time I had a steak or a burger. Pretty sure only meat I've had in last 3 months or so is Ham. So yeah Lent is not a big deal. So would it be a major effort for you, and if so, what type of meat would you have the hardest time giving up?
January 7, 201610 yr Too much venison in the freezer. I could go a long time without meat from the store though.
January 7, 201610 yr I started the timer at 7:20 when I read this thread. Just finished off a bacon cheeseburger about 5 minutes ago. I'll try again tomorrow.

Humans weren't meant to be go with out it.
January 7, 201610 yr I am considering going meatless through Lent, pending wife approval because I know it'll irritate her. I often go meatless or with very little some days. Honestly, the biggest challenge I believe will be gatherings with few choices on the menu.
January 7, 201610 yr I've cut way back on red meat but I eat enough chicken I think I'll grow feathers. I'd last a day maybe.
January 7, 201610 yr Son has for about 15 years. Daughter-in-law has for nearly as long. Granddaughter has for all of her 20 months. Not for me, though. A few days at a time is enough.
