January 7, 201610 yr The title thread is a joke? right? LOL I would have to find someone that could cook up some pretty amazing meals for me to last more than a short time. On that note, Liz Bonus lives a few doors away from me, maybe she can cook me up some stuff.
January 7, 201610 yr I'm gonna go ahead and say it's totally unethical to not eat meat. Don't need a bunch of uppity cows all up in my business. Gotta keep 'em in check. You know those Chik-fil-a commercials, when the cow shows up to guilt the person trying to eat their burger for lunch? Just once, I'd like it to be a real rare burger. When the cow shows up to lay the guilt on, the person has blood and juice running off their chin. They look up at the cow, smile, then pull a bolt-gun out and say, "Mmmmmmmm..., Next?"
January 7, 201610 yr Lenten Fridays are the best. I'd eat fish everyday. I could eat seafood every day. I suppose that qualifies as meatless. Son's family is vegetarian (but not vegan), so no seafood for them.

January 7, 201610 yr If I could do meat substitutes I may be able to go a while. I was once married to a vegan, so it can happen with some adjustment. Not that I would ever choose it unless I absolutely had to do so. "Once" being the operative word.

Not that I would ever choose it unless I absolutely had to do so. In 2011, when I lost all that weight and kicked my gout into high gear, I actually went vegetarian for a few months. I can handle some of the Morning Star Farms stuff; the sausage, the bbq faux ribs, the crumbles, chicken patties, and chicken nuggets. Those items are pretty good. Boca Burgers aren't too bad, if you put enough hot sauce on them. Tofurky products are disgusting, though.

January 7, 201610 yr I couldn't live in a world without bacon. In fact, we were talking last night about raising pigs at the Compound so we could have an endless supply of bacon when the revolution comes. Mr. Cat fries THE BEST bacon!
January 7, 201610 yr 1. Fish IS meat. None of that stuff. If were talking meatless we are talking about rabbit food. Ain't no rabbit I've ever known ate a fish. 2. My ancestors didn't climb to the top of the food chain for me to waste it eating salads. 3. I'm not sure I could go a day, for real. I RARELY have a meatless meal. I'd say 10 or under a year.
January 7, 201610 yr I went about 3 days once...but I hard a Crash Cart wired up to me for most of those 3 days. You can't get a hamburger in an IV.
January 7, 201610 yr If you don't like a grilled medium rare, good cut steak, then I don't think we can be friends.
