This kid is also a 4.0 off the court and one of the best mannered kids I have ever met and coached. She averaged over 19 PPG this summer in the EYBL( 1st I think in scoring in America). Turned Geno down twice sitting across the desk to commit to UCONN.Had over 70 offers. Best 3x3 player the USA had this year. One of top players in America. If and I think they will make the state tourney Professor lets hook up and I will introduce you to her and her family. Quality people.

Do you have any idea why she decided against UK or Louisville and went with Notre Dame?

After this thread was started I watched a couple of videos of both girls. There's no argument from me that Boley is the top player in the state, and I see why she was recruited by the top hoops schools. Notre Dame has a talented player with her. I would have rather seen her in Kentucky blue, but I'm a UK fan. She'll have a great career with the Irish.

 

As for Creech, she's very talented as well. She made the right decision with WKU. She will see more playing time there than at an SEC school or one of the other power conferences. As far as an earlier comment about her lack of defense I would think that she could probably do better but the coach doesn't want her in foul trouble. She can't score from the bench and she's their primary weapon. I agree, though, that she'll have a tougher time getting her shot off at the next level, but that's with most players going to the next level. Boley will see more aggressive defenses as well.

 

I think this qualifies as an understatement.

I get that she's the only player on her team that can score and that's the reason she's even being talked about IMO. She shouldn't even be a finalist for Miss Basketball. Boley is Miss Basketball and the whole state knows it. Not hating on this girl just my opinion.

Why? Her performance this year dictates that she SHOULD be considered as a finalists for the award, regardless if Boley is the clear front runner or not. So the award should just be given to Boley and the heck with recognizing anyone else? This is a very short sighted statement in my opinion.

If my daughter had an opportunity to get an education for free at Notre Dame compared to U of L or UK, it's a no brainer.

Just don't drive many long trips to watch high school games anymore. This girl sounds like it would be worth the trip, though.

Great information thus far, I need to get out and watch Boley. I have done some research from other states and found IL, IO, CA, and OH's Girls' basketball scoring records. Creech has more than any of them. I still cant find a definite site that shows the national scoring record, and still wonder if Creech is going to bring the Girls' national record home to KY.

 

Here is the site for national records. You will note that Jamie Walz only gets credit for high school points from 93-96 of 3872. Creech with 3456 so far for 2013-2015 will probably pass Walz on this one as well and possibly move into the top 10 all-time nationally with over 4000.

Completely agree. She should and will be honored as a finalist at the KY Lions Eye Foundation dinner and awards ceremony. With the rarity of what she has done, there is an outside chance you may see two Miss Basketball's this season (not unprecedented as this has happened with Mr. Basketball in the past). Again, this would be very low percent chance and I dont think it will happen, just putting it out there as food for thought.
