Congrats to all the players but I have to ask can players not be selected as 1st team on both sides of the ball? There is no way Hendrix is not 1st Team DB as well as WR. Just my opinion but no way I'm taking any other DB (other than Kincaid) to cover any receiver.

Slusher from Beechwood was selected first team WR and LB so yes you can. I agree Hendrix should have probably been first team. The two glaring omissions for me are Cam Racke and Brian Carter. I could make a better case for both to be the best of NKY at their positions than not be on the list at all.

Hendrix is not a probably, that is a definite and I could not agree more especially in the case for Racke. What that young man had to endure with his injury and to lead his team to the final four should be noted. Not sure what gets evaluated or criteria but glaring omissions and placements here leave a lot to be desired.

Second, third or fourth time you have said their are glaring omissions and placements. Care to share?

Who does Racke bump off the team?

QB is a tough position to a)make the team and b)measure.

Fieger:

2830 yards off offense 39 TDs in 14 games - 196 yards/game (Championship game stats not included)

Morgan:

2830 yards of total offense 23 TDs in 12 games - 235 yards/game

Padgett:

2571 yards of total offense 33 TDs in 12 games - 214 yards/game

Racke:

2807 yards of total offense 34 TDs in 14 games - 200 yards/game

Brown:

2150 yards of total offense 26 TDs in 13 games - 165 yards/game

Morgan, Fieger, and Brown were almost all passing.

Padgett and Racke were both strong at rushing and passing.

Pick your flavor.

No it's not the 2nd time I've said there were glaring omissions, I've repeated the posts from 4theluvofthegame. I won't bump off anyone at the QB position but there would be nothing wrong with putting a co-qb spot for Racke on the 2nd team. To take his team to the final 4 gets a nod in my book. Both Racke and Morgan are good talents but to lead a team like Racke did he is fully deserving in my book. Just like the DB situation this is my opinion and I'm not asking anyone to agree with me. All these players can play.

Since all of their numbers are very similar I will have to go by the eyeball test and since I did not see Fieger this year I will not comment on him. As for the other 4, if I had to pick a QB to win a HS football game I would take Racke. He was 5-0 against the other 3 this year with big games when going head to head. Admitting I only saw the other 3 against SK so my opinion is a little tainted.

I wonder what Fieger's stats would have been had he not missed half of his district games and the first 3 rounds of the playoffs due to blowouts.

I am sure that could be said for all of the QBs listed. Half of the games Racke played this year resulted in him being pulled prior to the end of the game, several of which he did not play any of the second half.

Flip that around and take away the stats that he did accumulate in those games and now make them full games against tougher opponents and perhaps he ends up in the same place.

As Clyde said, QB and imo RB are the toughest positions to place kids on all anything teams, but stats do not lie. Other positions are obviously more subjective and choices are often made on name recognition unless teams actually played one another during the season.

I also noticed after scanning this list closer that there is only one K listed. Anyone know who the second K was?

You know what the counter to that is if you're supporting the other players, correct?
