It's pretty incredible how T and FTH finished in a dead heat in points. I figured it would be close, but man, that margin is razor thin. It's also amazing to see how far ahead of the rest of the pack those two are. The could both be "down" for a decade and probably still top this list.

 

Not with Mayfield lurking. I really thought the gap would be tighter with them but I'm not complaining.

I think there is no question that #1-3 are spot on.

I did it for you Watusi. Been a pleasure reading and learning about the different programs over the past year. Can't wait to see some of them up close and personal now that mine has graduated and I won't have much to do on Friday nights.

Recently, I will agree with you. Historically, no way. The dominance displayed over the last 10 years or so is just as dominate as Beechwood was in the 90's. 2 great football programs for sure that seem to be growing further apart at the present time and was not predicted. I think the landscape of NKY fball has changed so much that it is difficult to have year to year dominance like Highlands, NCC, and Beechwood are used to.

 

I was referring to the gap in points allocated, not the abilities or merits of any school.

Boy, Pikeville and Belfry are REALLY close in their overall tradition and history. Belfry has more finals appearances and one more title, and that is the only difference. This is a really interesting tally.

Really good football has been played in both Boyle and Pike County.

 

Have to also think that if Beechwood wasn't so good for so long Pikeville may be much higher up this list and possibly dead equal to Belfry. Lots of Semi-Finals losses to the Red Tigers

I wonder what the results would have been had Trinity, Male, and St. X not been in the same district for several years.
