I don't have a dog in the Barker vs Towles fight, couldn't care less which one played this season, like many others I'm just a hopeful UK football fan who once again will go through another offseason with very little to look forward to next season! The way Stoops handled this situation certainly indicated that he felt Towles gave him the best chance to win, but was forced to play Barker due to the offensive ineffectiveness. Too bad it didn't go well for either kid! Good luck Patrick!

Pat was the better QB all year and ended up being the scapegoat for a stagnant offense led by a completely incompetent coordinator. Glad he is going to a program that will set him up for success. He will not let Kentucky ruin him.

Duke's QB was just a RS/Junior and he had a decent season...would Patrick go someplace where there is a shot he's not the starter?

Possibly because Towles could end up at a school that better fits what he needs. Which is a line that will allow him time. However people need to realize he could go somewhere and do great but that doesn't mean he would have done that here. So far in his two years he has shown how inconsistent he is. So hopefully where he goes they can get him to be more consistent because he does have the talent.

I said this about a month ago that I hoped this would happen. I think it will be a great thing for Towles and his career but also a good thing for UK. UK will now give all the reps to Drew which gives UK a better chance too instead of splitting snaps. This is a great move for all parties involved and I hope both he and Drew do great.

What year is the Michigan qb? He was a grad school transfer. I wonder if they would look at Towles at all. Imo he has the talent, and Harbaugh does a great job with qbs. That could be a great fit imo.

Finished the same as last year, but better than Jokers last year. They certainly have work to do, but the recruiting is much better under Stoops than we have seen in a long long time. That said, it takes a while to turn around a 1-9 program, especially in the sec.
