Regardless of your opinion on towles, the dude has major talent that most people can clearly see. Going to make Kentucky look even worse when he has success.

Towles is a very good talent who hasn't worked with an offensive guru since high school. At UK you have below average, to average on a good day coaching and no offensive line.

Heck Petrino an offensive mastermind and QB coach could make him shine. He beat Florida at Florida, there is something there with Towles, he just needs to get the heck out of Lexington.

As mentioned, PT is a big mobile QB with a big arm. Lots of coaches are attracted to those attributes as they can't be taught.

So he has a strong arm... What else? He's not really that mobile. Definitely not to the point where it would make a difference at the next level.

He's mobile not in a Russell Wilson sense of mobile, but he has some speed. At his size and a little bit of speed, he is hard to bring down.

There was a little sarcasim in there somewhere. I was going to say he used to have pretty hair but was afraid that may be taken the wrong way.

 

I don't want to be labeled a hater on the kid, because I don't hate any of them. But in all honesty, anyone that thinks they can take him in and turn him into an elite or reliable qb over the offseason is off their rocker. Bad mechanics, happy feet, doesn't know when to get out of the pocket, stares down recievers, doesn't read the field, inconsostent. I could go on and on.

 

I do feel bad for the kid, because he does have the physical ability to be a great qb. Not to mention he seems like a great person. But all in all, there isn't a coach in the country that will turn his bad habits around by next season.

LSU would be a good one. I hadn't thought about that. He would definitely play right away there as opposed my prediction which is Alabama. Big strong arm QB to stretch the field to all the talent LSU always has on the outside, play behind an NFL offensive line, and then turn and hand the ball off to Leonard Fournette every other play. That offense would be scary good. You couldn't put 7 in the box against LSU anymore to stop Fournette because Towles would burn you on the deep ball.

^Im not a Towles hater at all, I just don't see all the talent that some say they see.
