November 28, 201510 yr Wow, after blowing a lead like that just how far does this set UK football back ? I like Stoops but he needed this one very bad. Actually a bg problem imo is this stinkin' air raid offense. U.K. is Not talented enough to run it and it puts a big extra load on a bad defense. Neither qb is consistent, one series they can look like an all American, the next they couldn't run a team or throw it in the ocean when wading in it. QB's can't throw, receivers can't catch and a couple of good RB's can't get consistent blocking. Special teams stink, Defense can't stop anyone, team has average starters and Zero depth ..... other than that, the Cat's ain't bad. :sssh:. :lol2: U.K. Basketball plays Monday night.

November 28, 201510 yr Pat Towles was the scapegoat. This team has hundreds of problems, and QB is way down the list. Now they have gone and destroyed Barker's confidence. Gunnar Hoak could come in and take the job after he redshirts (which he should)

November 28, 201510 yr Towles moved the ball well in the one drive he played. Looked decent, until his INT. At that point point in the game, it's tough to have any evaluation of PT's play. I would've liked to see him get to play the 4th quarter. It was painfully obvious Barker wasn't going to accomplish anything in the 2nd half. Tough to have any evaluation of Towles play? He's had plenty of time to be evaluated. He's looked the same and made the same mistakes his entire career at UK. Barker on the other hand just got his second start of his career and looked great until Boom and JoJo went out. That said it is what it is, this was Kentucky football at its finest. There is no doubt in my mind that Barker is the best option at qb though.
November 28, 201510 yr Once again, let's remind everyone that Stoops is a DEFENSIVE coach whose defense does not perform all that well. Yes, there are tons of offensive problems and that can perhaps be fixed with a change at coordinator. But the defenses under Stoops has been very, very poor all on its own too.
November 28, 201510 yr UK's best off season move might be to hire a clinical psychologist. The karma is bad around the team. The players are not as bad as they perform, for example, Timmons, Elam. It's kind of like synergy in reverse. I feel sorry for them.
