I haven't been this disappointed in a finish to a UK season in a long time. We didn't deserve a bowl game based on how we finished.

My two cents on the QB situation- Towles is not the guy that will lead us to a bowl. This was his season to prove that he could and he didn't elevate his game nor the offense.

Barker hasn't impressed as much as UK fans hoped he would in two starts. He is the guy headed into the off-season. We need to hope for growth.

All of this being said, we have had lackluster development of the QB position. We need to make significant changes to this part of the off season program. I know we have a QB in the recruiting class for next season and that seems appropriate, but we needs a program for development that improves what we see in the field from these guys. JMO.

I agree. This is a good observation. Towles should have taken a leap forward if QB development is efficient.

I still love me some Drew!!!!

My dude!

Like I asked before. Who has offered?

I knew UK was in trouble as soon as UL changed to Jackson. It looked as though the UK defense had not prepared at all for a running QB. It wasn't as if the Cards were unpredictable in their play calling, they called a pass play on every 1st down, then ran it on the other downs.:idunno::woot:

Won't come out till next week but they have to fill up as some are calling "the toilet bowls."

If it's not a huge loss financially I don't see a good reason not to practice for another month.

Cards loving the icing on the cake by preventing UK from bowling again.

They actually did us a big favor by not having to endure a another game, and for that, I say thanks. Teams as bad as UK shouldn't go bowling, probably applies to UL as well.

Unless they lose again.

Guess it wasn't Patrick after all.

My thoughts exactly. Barker has proven that there are many issues beyond QB for UK.

Once again, let's remind everyone that Stoops is a DEFENSIVE coach whose defense does not perform all that well. Yes, there are tons of offensive problems and that can perhaps be fixed with a change at coordinator. But the defenses under Stoops has been very, very poor all on its own too.

Thank you. I keep wondering why all the complaints about the offense and so little about the defense.

Has any coach at UK ever had a career coaching winning record while at UK other than Bear Byrant?

No.

UK's best off season move might be to hire a clinical psychologist. The karma is bad around the team. The players are not as bad as they perform, for example, Timmons, Elam. It's kind of like synergy in reverse. I feel sorry for them.

Elam, you are joking right? The kid could be a great player but is way out of shape, needs to lose a ton of weight, reported out of shape. Doesn't the football team use Bob Rotella, the sports psychologist Cal has used since his U Mass days. I thought he was available to all the sports teams at UK.

Barker 6/22 129 yards
He started the game 5/8, but then the dropped passes & poor blocking showed up
