November 29, 201510 yr I'll eat some crow for suggesting Bolin, Jackson & Bonnafon would be good changeup options to keep UK off balance. Jackson, if healthy, is "the truth." An extra month of practice & the entire offseason will serve him well. Should be very good in 2016 if they can groom some young OL into competence. Where was Staples? Re-injure his shoulder? Saw 1 catch and then appearing to be injured on the sideline. Huge loss with him out. He will be very fun to watch with Jackson next year. How was the hit on Quick in the endzone not called targeting? He hit him with his shoulder, but it was direct to the head. Earlier in the season, much less was being called and ejections were being upheld on replay. Defense stepped up and got solid pressure with only 3 or 4 rushing. Tackling was still suspect in many cases, but good rallying to the ball and coverage in the secondary. As to UK, maybe they just are what they are - win early against a weak schedule and fade with stiffer competition. 4-1 followed by 1-5 the last 2 seasons. Let's also remember that this schedule gave them 8 home games this season and they still went 5-7. Either their recruits are rated higher than they should be OR UK is making them worse. Maybe both. What bowl slots will UofL be looking at? 3rd in the Atlantic Division of the ACC and T-5 w/ Miami in the overall ACC. If Notre Dame doesn't make the Top 4, they likely bump UofL down a slot. If Clemson loses to UNC, that would bump them down as well. Best case Clemson and ND both in the Top 4 and only UNC, FSU, Pitt are clearly ahead of them.
November 29, 201510 yr ^ Maybe Pinstripe Bowl in NYC or Sun Bowl in El Paso. Lots depends on Clemson beating UNC next week. Lots depends on whether FSU beats Floridatonight too. The Seminoles could easily end up in the Orange Bowl if Clemson gets to the playoff. Tons of things to happen before figuring where UofL ends up.

November 29, 201510 yr To all my fellow UK fans I shall quote Aaron Rodgers by telling you to RELAX. Stoops is trying to turn around a program that has been relevant for about 10 total seasons since 1970. It takes more than just 3 years to turn this program around. We were one play away from beating Florida, Auburn and Vandy. That's 3 plays away from being 8-4. I know, I know, it looks like we have regressed throughout the season in back to back years. These are young men who have to listen to us bash them on social media and other types of media outlets, do you think that doesn't get into their heads and shake their confidence? Do you think it's a coincidence that they play good at the beginning of the season when everyone is high on them. The second they lose a tough game it's "Here we go again, blame the QB, blame the OC blame, blame, blame." And all of a sudden the team looks like crap? Of course it's not a coincidence. Blaming and pointing fingers is not the way you build a successful program. Having faith, believing in, and giving confidence to your team and your coaches is how you help build a program up. I have said it before and I'll say it again Rich Brooks only won 11 total games in his first 3 seasons. Then in his 4th they finally turned the corner and went bowling. This football program needs patience and full support from its fans. Rant over.
November 29, 201510 yr Time for Stoops to go. If you keep him next year it will be 3-9 or 4-8. Barker didn't start the first 10 games for a reason. His off field problems and effort today showed why. Missouri and S. Carolina will rebound and UK is still gonna be in neutral.
