November 28, 201510 yr Can't go up 21-0 in a quarter of football on your turf in a rivalry game than lose that way. Then again, this Cardinal fan isn't complaining. I agree that Petrino did UK a favor by starting Bolin early on.
November 28, 201510 yr I wouldn't fire Dawson either. Hard to call anything when the line can't block and your receivers can't catch. But with 4/5 returning on the line and basically returning every skill player I think they'll be a lot better next year. Defensively they'll lose some impact players but bring back some talent. The team started 13/22 freshman and sophomores now that I'm looking at the depth chart. Expectations should be lower and I blame basketball for that. A freshman can't make a huge impact in college football (unless he's special) like they can in basketball. The quicker that gets through everyone's head the better.
November 28, 201510 yr Disfunction offensively with the dissension raring it's ugly head between Stoops and Dawson. Significant changes needed and Barnhart has the backbone to make sure Stoops addresses it. Towles was never the problem. But agreed with change to Barker to find out. Barker's performance mirrored Towles last five games. Dropped passes, leaking pockets forcing drop back passers to run for their lives on every play, slow and predictable play calling, multiple receivers running wrong routes, and a third string halfback that specializes in putting the ball on the ground! Dawson sure runs a smooth machine. Just needed to vent...wife won't let me watch Bengals tomorrow if I don't get my blood pressure down.

November 28, 201510 yr Once again, let's remind everyone that Stoops is a DEFENSIVE coach whose defense does not perform all that well. Yes, there are tons of offensive problems and that can perhaps be fixed with a change at coordinator. But the defenses under Stoops has been very, very poor all on its own too. As was the case at FSU also...... I know someone who tried to tell this to folks. I do think Stoops deserves more time and that folks bleeding blue need way more patience than they are exhibiting.
November 28, 201510 yr Well I think we know why Towles has been starting over Barker the whole year now... Pat Towles was the scapegoat. This team has hundreds of problems, and QB is way down the list. Now they have gone and destroyed Barker's confidence. Guess it wasn't Patrick after all. You would have thought Pat played defense all year! Very true it wasn't all Towles fault. However we now have two years worth of stats and play to look at Towles. Those stats show very inconsistent play, inaccurate passing and interceptions. With Barker we have two career starts and his second half looked very familiar to second halves that we have seen with Towles and that is not being able to do anything or even able to complete a pass. Drew definitely struggled big time in the second half. You are also right it wasn't all Towles fault this year, however he also didn't do anything to help his cause in two years worth of play and experience. Barker is just now getting experience. Which now he has his first off season at actually knowing what college football is like and what he needs to do better. So I don't think this game shows anything on Towles is better or Barker. We have two years of stuff to look at with Towles and two games with Barker
