I believe it was a predetermined outcome as well. All the smart money was on Holm. People knew she was going to win.

 

If gambling wants to be "legal" in America there needs to be reporting of how much money is on who, what team, what percentage of the overall money on a given game event is, etc.

The fix was in and it wasn't even much of a secret.

 

Betting tickets on Holm outnumbered those on Rousey by a 5-fo-1 margin at Westgate, according to Kornegay.

Odds are made for the house to getting even money bet on each participant...so if 5 out of every 6 dollars was on Holm why were the odds 14-1 9-1 or what ever they ended up at. That much money on her should have made her the betting favorite.

He described exactly what he thought Holm would do and he nailed it. Roger said because Holm's skill set-quickness, striking ability and kickboxing background- is perfect for defeating Rousey because she can keep her distance.

 

But on Monday I told him it was fixed like all UFC fights...and then we wrestled, briefly!

I'm not gambling expert, but wouldn't it make sense to bet on Holm (or any of Rousey's opponents) over Ronda? You don't make any money betting on the favorite...

If it was a fix, I have more respect for Rousey than ever. Because if she agreed to that kick to the grill, she's packin' some serious cahones.

He laughed and said what are we in grade school? He then said this is what you do to someone's arm that you have control of....I quickly replied and asked him to give me a demonstration using on of the apprentices in the shop....at least they are good for something!

I hate when crazy stories like this get any legs. Give me a break. Rousey is going to let herself get her butt kicked like that so she can take half a year off? So she has no pride? She is OK with her legacy being severely tarnished...for a few months off? My guess is Taz wants 15 minutes of fame and is making crap up...not buying this at all. How about the obvious...Holm is a match-up nightmare for Rousey who knew how to approach fighting her...

I saw that Rousey will probably have to have facial surgery to repair her lip. That doesn't sound fake to me for someone who wants to continue being an actress.

Taz is an idiot. Saw a still frame shot of the kick to her face, no chance she took that on purpose. And no chance it was a weak shot as Taz states. What a meat head.

At 14 to one odds you bet the underdog...absolutely no money to be made betting Rousey...and we all KNEW she was going to meet her match eventually.

 

What surprises me is the odds stayed way up there and that Vegas didn't relinquish and push the odds back down to something like 3-1 and get more money flowing the other way. I THINK someone in Vegas got greedy and was hoping for a Rousey victory and a huge payday...instead looks like they lost their shorts on this one.
