Expected result. Hopefully the Cats can "suck it up" and get the last two wins. I do think that a win over Charlotte is probable and then in the one with that team around 75 miles west who knows ?

Question is - have the Wildcats quit ?

Is Towles set to graduate this spring? I wonder if he would consider doing the grad school transfer rule that would allow him to play right away. I know I want Barker to play and it makes it seem like I dislike Towles. However I think he is very talented. But based off of this being a weak line, I think he could end up at a good school that could help him play to his ability better. While I think Barker would end up doing better here at UK based off his skill set and the personal here. I would like that because we could see them both play and succeed them imo.

For the glass half empty crowd: With a bounce here or there this UK team could legitimately be 0-10.

It is time to move on to the Drew Barker era.

People can defend Towles and blame everybody but him. The line, the receivers, the coaches, the running backs, etc.

The fact is Towles is no better today then he was the first game last year.

There is no future in him.

I don't know 100% if there is a future with Barker, but I know there is no future with Towles.

Time to move on.

Let Barker get 4 full quarters under his belt against Charlotte, and then go to beat Louisville and go to a bowl.

They will beat Charlotte and give fans hope then lose a heartbreak to Louisville. This season was no better than last season and that's concerning.

Still think this team goes bowling. They will step up the next couple of weeks.

Can boom catch a pass? He's a burner, throw the ball to him on a wheel route and let his speed take over.

Last play of the Vandy game, while Towles was running for his life trying to find an open receiver, Baker ran ten yards down the field and stopped and just stood there.

That's the kind of players UK is dealing with.

Literally I'd say

Literally I'd say

You mean when they celebrate their bowl win, correct?

Sidenote: Not that I expected ANYTHING LESS but I was happy to see Pat give Drew some love after this first career TD pass. Says a lot about him and his family.

Again, NOT surprised.

Time for Reese Phillips to play qb.

I am very interested to see what school Reese is at next year.

If you were going to argue that Stoops is the man for this job long term, where do you start?

He has nice hair! Lol Here's another question if his last name wasn't Stoops and didn't have the football heritage would he get another year? I'm just disappointed this year thought we would be at a better spot this point in the season. Next year the motto could be #highhopes

Now that I have calmed down.....here are my observations:

-we gift wrapped, by my count, 49 points on Saturday on either giveaways or missed opportunities-not acceptable

-starting QB stats are incomprehensibly bad and a change must happen(should have happened from the first snap Sat)--not acceptable

-special teams are about as bad as it gets(not a kick return for TD in 3 years now)(can't get proper number of players on field after at time out)--not acceptable

-communication on side line is apparently not good...Elliott said the trick play was caught in time in the box upstairs but not "communicated properly"--not acceptable

-can't score from the one half yard line on first and goal-not acceptable

I will stop there....after 35 years I have come to the conclusion I have minimum standards I require and those minimum requirements have not been met. I get frustrated and upset to the point I am miserable. I don't know how much longer I can continue to tolerate that misery. Please, please coach in the next 2 weeks give me something, anything I can hang my hat on!

A huge play in the game IMO was on 3rd 5 late in the game...Towles scrambles and slides 3 yards before he has to and creates a 4th and 1. They go for it...UK looks unorganized for the play and they throw a fade... there was about 5 minutes left in the game at that point.

Towles has to be smarter than that and put his head down and get every yard possible in that situation...Even if he dives instead of slides, he gets the first and the cats are moving.

I want to support Stoops, but it seems to me like he is losing this team with his unwillingness to give Barker a chance. Towles is probably a better locker room guy, but the recruits that came in with Barker, seemed to play harder when he was on the field.
